The LABS-D'Or Center for Neuroscience
Our new facility is under construction in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro (see map). It will shelter the new Center for Neuroscience of the LABS-D'Or Hospital Network, and will include offices for research staff, outpatient units, neuropsychological testing rooms, a data processing lab, an amphitheater and educational resources. Our new 3T Philips Achieva MRI research scanner was installed and is running since Jan, 2008.
This will be possible thanks to a start-up grant provided by the LABS-D'Or Hospital Network (www.redelabsdor.com.br), a private medical corporation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The new facility will incorporate the Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Unit, the new Brain Morphometry and Investigative Neuroimaging, and Neuropsychology and Neuropsychiatry units.
